better together

What are you most looking forward to when quarantine is over?

I can’t wait to see people in person and give/receive hugs again.

I was thinking this weekend that we live in a world that is more connected than ever… and yet, we feel disconnected, lonely, and distant.

I also have this feeling of being caught mid-motion (like this photo), as our planet attempts to sort out its next move.

In times of stress, your body and mind can easily fall into distress.

Worry, anxiety, trouble sleeping, fear, feeling unsafe, overindulging in sugar/food/alcohol/drugs, restricting, hoarding, panic buying, and so many other coping mechanisms can wear away at our health and wellness.

staying socially connected, practicing more yoga, and resting boosts your physical and mental resilience.

Today’s mindful minute is very simple:

  • Close your eyes

  • Place one hand on your heart, and one hand on your belly

  • Take a deep breath in through your nose. Breathe into your hands.

  • Hold at the top of your inhale

  • Slowly, exhale through your mouth.

Repeat as often as needed.

remember, we are all in this together.

Send today’s mindful minute to a friend, and ask the person to do it with you. You can breathe together on FaceTime, over the phone, or simply share and have the knowing that you are supported by others around the world.

…and we are better together.

I have learned how important community is for growth, and that’s why I chose to make community part of my new online course.

If you like these mindful minutes, you will LOVE my 30 Days of Mindful Movement.

Each day, you will receive:

  • a guided mindfulness practice

  • a guided mindful movement flow

  • a journal prompt

  • access to a community of like-minded people

Our focus is on creating routines to help you reach your goals.

The live course starts 4/1, and you will have access to the materials forever.
