happy Friday, friends!

March is Brain Injury Awareness month, and the woman I’m featuring today is a true warrior for traumatic brain injury. Through her books, podcast, magazine, and articles, Amy Zellmer strives to make the invisible, visible.

I met Amy Zellmer in May of 2019 at the Arizona Brain Injury Alliance annual Rays of Hope event. I was nine months into my recovery from brain injury, and struggling. Amy had a booth for her Faces of TBI event (scheduled on my birthday at Barrows) and was offering her books for sale. I bought her books, and although I couldn’t read at the time, they gave me hope and inspiration that one day I could read again.

Amy has a gift for sharing her experiences with traumatic brain injury to teach others. Her drive to make this invisible condition visible to others by sharing her story and spotlighting others.

I’m so grateful to feature Amy on this blog and on my Instagram today. She is sharing adaptive yoga with us today! I’ve also included links where you can connect with her and learn from her.
