a moment to make an impact

life can change in a moment.

I found this to be true when I was rear ended in 2018. Since then, my life has been “before the accident” and “after the accident.” You may be able to easily pinpoint the moments that have changed your life (graduating college, losing a friend, getting married, getting divorced, having a child, getting injured, etc), or they may be harder to recognize.

While it’s easy for me to remember the negative moments, it’s important to remember the positive moments too.

And guess what? The positive moments can make incredible impact for years to come.

A couple weeks ago, I had a positive moment that has warmed my heart every time I think about it.

I shared about this moment on Instagram. Please read about it HERE!

12 days of kindness giveaway

This incredible moment of kindness given to me by some magical women has inspired me to spread some kindness on the social networks in December.

Why? Because it’s been a tough year, and you have been a huge source of support to me.

You gave me a reason to show up each day + try to be my best self.⁣

You gave me the courage to fail miserably . . . to get up again, and try again.⁣

You have allowed me to be myself - AKA a weird, nerdy, imperfect mess - and been so kind + accepting.⁣

You show me that good people are not hard to find, I just need to show up + speak out.⁣

A year ago I felt like I needed to have something important to say, have it “figured out,” or put on a good face to share on this platform.⁣

I posted on Instagram five times last year.⁣⁣

Five.⁣

⁣This year, I made the commitment to show up every day. I knew I couldn’t do the work I wanted to do if I waited for a day where I felt good, had it “figured out,” my hair + makeup done (maybe six days this whole entire year).⁣

⁣That’s one reason I committed to blogging last December, and I’m so glad I did.

I’m thankful for the lessons you’ve taught me this year.⁣

And I’m 𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂.⁣

⁣For the next twelve (or thirteen) days, I will be hosting a giveaway of a product or service I love. Since this is the heart of lemonLOVES blog, it only seems fair to share the love!

So on December first through twelfth (or thirteenth!), check back here to learn about the giveaway of the day. Then head to the linked Instagram post to enter! If you don’t have Instagram, it’s free and easy to make an account. I just need to keep it organized on one platform to make sure all entries get counted!

Today’s mindful minute is to practice an act of kindness.

Today’s mindful minute is a simple tool to identify a small act of kindness—for your self, or others.

I wrote a few tips on the slide below to give some ideas.

Remember that you can always download the slide and save it to your phone (when we’re stressed, we will not naturally remember to be mindful!).

Today’s mindful minute exercise is to practice kindness.

Today’s mindful minute exercise is to practice kindness.

Now that you have practiced the tool . . .

What do you notice?

Try to answer without judgement. Whatever you notice is simply what you noticed; it’s not right, wrong, or indifferent.

Can you make a reminder to yourself to do this once a day this week??

make sure you come back tomorrow morning to find the first giveaway!!!!
